QUESNEL MAN SENTENCED FOR SERIOUS ASSAULT

 A QUESNEL MAN, CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH A SERIOUS ASSAULT, HAS BEEN SENTENCED IN PROVINCIAL COURT.

   20-YEAR OLD ROBERT DAVID DUNLOP RECEIVED 12 MONTHS PROBATION AND ONE DAY IN JAIL AFTER HE PLED GUILTY TO A CHARGE OF ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM.

   DUNLOP WAS ALSO GIVEN CREDIT FOR 7 DAYS IN JAIL ALREADY SERVED.

   HE WAS CHARGED FOLLOWING AN ATTACK ON A 37-YEAR OLD MAN IN THE 300 BLOCK OF LEWIS DRIVE IN WEST QUESNEL BACK IN OCTOBER.

   POLICE SAY THE VICTIM SUFFERED A FRACTURED SKULL.

   THE GUILTY PLEA CAME AFTER DUNLOP’S TRIAL HAD BEGUN.

   21-YEAR OLD CHAD MICHEAL TRESIERRA IS ALSO CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CASE.

   HE IS DUE BACK IN COURT ON JANUARY 31ST.
