John Helm

I come to you from Windermere, BC, down the road from Invermere, but I was born and raised in Camrose, Alberta. After high school I made my way to the School Of Business at the U of A in Edmonton and lived there for parts of 7 years. I graduated in 2003 and since then I’ve been trying to find myself, or at least looking! In the summer of 2007 my search led me to Vancouver and the Broadcasting program at Columbia Academy. After that I headed to Invermere to do play-by-play for the Columbia Valley Rockies Junior B hockey club.

So I love sports, like any self respecting Canadian boy! Hockey, football, baseball, Mixed Martial Arts, you name it. I play a little bit of hockey, softball and golf, but I don’t discriminate! I like to play cards and games with friends. I enjoy reading, not too much TV, good food and good beer. And I’m working on broadening my horizons to include red wine! I love to laugh and you’ll often find me smiling and joking around with my wonderful girlfriend Jessica. I’m excited to come to the Cariboo and look forward to talking to you about the important happenings both in and around 100 Mile House and throughout the Cariboo!
