4 people survived a plane crash Sunday afternoon in Big Creek Provincial Park, approximately 45 km south of Hanceville off Highway 20.
According to the RCMP, an aircraft departed the Springhouse Airstrip shortly before 830am Sunday and was due to return early in the afternoon for refueling.
The aircraft was apparently conducting animal surveys in the area of Big Creek Park when it went down in the early afternoon. All four occupants were extracted from the plane and were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
No names have been released and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
